1 More Day...God is in the Details

After weeks of searching the internet to find just the right home to rent for our 25th wedding anniversary family celebration this summer, I finally settled on one.  I wasn't being too picky I thought - just wanted one large enough for us all, available at the right dates, on the beach, and reasonably priced.  I scrolled through thousands of entries that all fit this filter.  I must admit it was a little overwhelming.  Trying to pick from just pictures in a state hours away required a little faith on my part.  And finally I just said out loud, "Lord, just pick one, " with a half-hearted laugh.  

It was then that I finally decided on one.  It was almost as if I threw a dart at the five houses I had narrowed down to see which to choose.  I know it should not have been that big of a deal; however, I wanted the week to be special.  Celebrating 25 years of marriage is not an every day event.  

Later that evening I got a phone call from the owner of the home I rented.  He informed me that I went to school with his aunt who is now the secretary of my best friend.  You would have thought we were long lost friends.  

He gave me a huge discount on the home, threw in some extra bonuses, and is helping to plan every detail of our time there.  

When I hung up with him that night, I thought - okay Lord, now you are showing off.  ;-)

Of ALL the homes I could've chosen, God led me to THIS one.  He loves me that much - and He loves you too.  Our God is IN THE DETAILS.  So no matter how you feel today, you can rest assured that God cares for you.  He is orchestrating every detail of your life and working them for good.  And if HE cares for the flowers - then certainly He cares for YOU!

Luke 12:25 NLT "And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you.  Why do you have so little faith?"
