1 More Day...to be reminded we are loved

"Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever." Psalm 136:26

Ever so often, God reminds us of his amazing love for us.  And that's just what happened a few weeks ago.  I just have to share this story with you.  

I have a great friend whose daughter had been sick for a few weeks. She was misdiagnosed a couple times, and the doctors had often been at a loss on what to do. After a week of being in the local hospital, the young girl was transferred to Texas Children's  in downtown Houston.  The doctors there would be able to better treat her.  You can imagine the parents fear and worry about their sweet baby girl.

I texted my husband to join me in prayer as he traveled home from out of town. Within minutes of he and his friend praying, they look over to see this truck. And can you believe- that's the name of the child for whom we are praying?!!!!  Her name is plastered in big, bold letters across the back of the truck - with a #1.  

That name is not common!  And to think about the perfect timing of this encounter: both drivers' paths were orchestrated for the perfect encounter.

Coincidence? I don't think so! God loves his children! He hasn't forgotten about our sweet friend, or her parents, or the doctors.

She is on His mind.

Becca is His number 1.

And so are we.  No matter how we feel, we can rest in the assurance of God's love. 

I'm so thankful for God's love for us and thankful for the reminders.
